Executive J.D. Law Program
Online – Non-California State Bar Qualifying
The Executive J.D. law program at the Aristotle University Institute of Law and Jurisprudence is an online Non-California State Bar Qualifying program which is intended primarily for those individuals who either already have a law degree in the another country and desire to learn more about the legal system in the United States or for those professionals (such as in medicine, nursing, banking, finance, accounting, healthcare administration, education, law enforcement, intelligence, security, real estate, etc.) who desire to increase their education by supplementing it with a sound core of legal knowledge (but who do not desire or anticipate entering the practice of law as a professional attorney).
The Executive J.D. law program is not intended to prepare students to sit for the California State Bar Examination. Often times individuals desire to study law and gain expertise in law, but have no intention on practicing law as a profession – the Executive J.D. law degree program satisfies these desires.
By completing the Executive J.D. program, individuals will be able to develop critical analytical thinking skills framed with substantive knowledge in law – thereby providing them a sound platform to increase their effectiveness in their own current occupations. By learning and understanding the legal paradigms of analysis and critical thinking, individuals will be armed with a new skill set with which they increase their own mastery within their own profession. Additionally, by being armed with an Executive J.D. law degree, individuals will have opened many doors of opportunity in other professions and industries. For instance, there are many positions in government, education, security, corporations, healthcare and pharmaceutical administration and research, where an education received through the Executive J.D. program will provide to the graduate a substantially greater skill set than their competitors might have – this can be a significant advantage in the job market.
Some students, according to the cohort of students which they join to obtain their Executive J.D. degree at Aristotle University Institute of Law and Jurisprudence, will be required to attend on-site Lecture sessions on weekends. These Lecture sessions are intended to crystallize the substantive legal knowledge and critical thinking skills which are vital to becoming effective with the knowledge gained through the Executive J.D. program.
