The mission of the Aristotle University College of Law, that is, our stated educational reason to exist, is our dedication to achieving academic excellence through the sound scholarly and ethical legal education of individuals who desire to become attorneys and who wish to contribute to the public good.
The mission of the Aristotle University College of Law has as it foundation, the expectation that students who are committed to the study of law will receive an invaluable legal education resulting in an in-depth understanding and mastering of the principles and practice of substantive law, as presented in either the curriculum for the Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Legum Magister (LL.M.) degree programs. It is through the processes of intense and comprehensive study of law, including both the Socratic dialectic and case-method analysis, that law students of the Aristotle University College of Law will develop their intellectual, analytical, and critical thinking abilities. The result of such processes, commitment, and dedication to the study of law, on the part of these students will foster sound values and promote a commitment to the pursuit of lifelong learning and excellence in service. The mission of the Aristotle University College of Law intends as its principle objective, the offering of educational programs which will foster the fundamental principles of the University, to include the pursuit of truth, academic excellence, the discovery of new knowledge through scholarship and research, the study and criticism of intellectual analysis, a respect for human rights, fundamental freedoms, peace and the sense of dignity, as well as the promotion of understanding, tolerance and friendship among all nations. These educational pillars of the Aristotle University College of Law will be transmitted through the Faculty in their supportive shaping of the intellectual development of our students. The supportive and enriching academic environment provided by our Faculty will allow students of the Aristotle University College of Law to become creative and productive citizens in a pluralistic democracy.
