| Law Student Admission Test (LSAT) |

All students of the Aristotle University College of Law who are pursuing the J.D. degree for which they intend to qualify to take the State of California Bar Examination, must take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). This is a mandatory requirement. Although the LSAT may be taken at any time within one year of enrolment at the Aristotle University College of Law, it is advised that the LSAT be taken prior to admission.
The LSAT is a half-day standardized test required for admission to all ABA-approved law schools, most Canadian law schools, and many non-ABA-approved law schools. It provides a standard measure of acquired reading and verbal reasoning skills that can be used as one of several factors in assessing applicants to law school and in their success in passing various professional examinations. The LSAT is administered four times a year at hundreds of locations around the world. An average of 140,000 prospective law students take the LSAT each year. The LSAT is administered by The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) which is a nonprofit corporation whose members are more than 200 law schools in the United States and Canada. The LSAT is designed to measure some of the skills considered essential for success in law school: the reading and comprehension of complex texts with accuracy and insight; the organization and management of information and the ability to draw reasonable inferences from it; the ability to think critically; and the analysis and evaluation of the reasoning and arguments of others.
