As an alternative to the LL.M. Thesis and Defense at the Aristotle University College of Law, a LL.M. Candidate may arrange, with the prior approval of both the Dean of Students and the Dean of the Aristotle University College of Law, a total of four (4) weeks of Externship with an appropriate international organization (e.g., World Health Organization (Geneva); The Hague; The International Criminal Court; The United Nations; etc.).
Such Externship may be completed in separate two week periods and must culminate in a significant paper originating from a legal issue which originated during the time of the Externship. The Aristotle University College of Law shall assist the student arranging the Externship with the appropriate recognized international organization. This LL.M. Thesis Alternative must be arranged in advance and all expenses incurred during the Externship are the strict and sole responsibility of the student (e.g., travel, housing, meals, etc.) although Scholarship funding may be available. Students will also be required to pay the tuition costs of any Thesis course requirements their particular LL.M. program may require.
