| Pro-Rata Refund Policy |
|
Commensurate with California law, if a student withdraws, stops or cancels their Enrollment Agreement at the Aristotle University College of Law after attending classes, then any refund of tuition and fees shall be refunded according to a pro-rata formula. Similarly, for distance online or correspondence courses, students who desire to cancel their Enrollment Agreement after midnight of the eighth (8th) business day after the first lesson was mailed (or electronically dispatched) to the student, then any refund of tuition and fees shall be refunded according to a pro-rata formula.
Your intent to withdraw, stop or cancel your Enrollment Agreement after the Cancellation Period must be made in writing, preferably using the University’s Notice of Cancellation of Enrollment Agreement, and is effective on the postmarked date of the mailed Notice, or on the date the written Notice is delivered to the Office of the Dean of Students. Any Notice of Cancellation of Enrollment Agreement must be sent or delivered to: Aristotle University College of Law, at 6185 Paseo del Norte, Suite 200, Carlsbad, California 92011. For students who have completed greater than sixty percent (60%) of course sessions, there shall be no refund of tuition or fees. For students who have completed sixty percent (60%) or less of course sessions, their tuition and fees (except for the registration fee of $50.00) shall be refunded on the basis of a pro-rata formula. The pro-rata formula considers, on a per course basis, the number of total course sessions which are to be held for each course, the number of course sessions which have transpired, and the number of course sessions which have not transpired, such that any refund is based on the percentage of the number of course sessions that have not transpired as related to the total number of course sessions which were to be held per semester. By example: A 3 Unit course is valued at $930.00 ($310/unit). If a student attended 5 course sessions of the 15 total course sessions, he would be entitled to the following tuition refund:
REMEMBER: To cancel the Enrollment Agreement, at any time, you must mail or deliver a Written, Signed, Dated and Completed Notice of Cancellation of Enrollment Agreement to the Aristotle University College of Law at the above address. You do not have the right to cancel by mere oral communication or by not attending class. If the Aristotle University College of Law closes before you graduate, you may be entitled to a refund. For more information on such a refund contact the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education at the following address and contact information:
