Aristotle Scholars
This Aristotle Scholar program is an Honors Scholarship program which rewards students for their proven academic and meritorious excellence and community service. This Honors program provides students at the Aristotle University College of Law an additional opportunity to finance their legal education based on their history of excellence. Aristotle Scholars are those individuals either applying as first year entering law students or those continuing their study of law at the Aristotle University College of Law, who have been selected for a scholarship grant to finance their legal education in whole or in part. The factors to be considered when granting a student the esteemed designation of Aristotle Scholar, include, but are not limited to, the following: extraordinary prior and current academic achievement; extent of community and extra-curricular experiences which includes service to others, especially in promoting human dignity and human respect; maturity level; ability and potential for success in the study of law and future practice of law; noteworthy performance on the LSAT; the student's educational financial need; etc. These students are primarily selected based upon evidence of their exemplary commitment to family, community and society, as well as to those individuals exemplifying the promotion of human respect, dignity, a quest for knowledge and the pursuit of truth. These Scholarships are renewable on a yearly basis, and in the second, third and fourth years of law study, granting of such Scholarships shall be based upon continued academic achievement and excellence at the Aristotle University College of Law. In order to renew their scholarship, a student must maintain a superior grade point average while studying law at the Aristotle University College of Law. Applications for these Honors awards must be obtained through the Office of the Dean of Students and must be submitted on or before the posted deadline. The Aristotle Scholarships include the following:

Aristotle University College of Law Scholarship for Excellence - These scholarships are awarded by the Gionis Family of San Diego to no more than five deserving students per year and are merit-based, partial and full-tuition scholarships for one year of law study presented to outstanding entering law students. These scholarships were created to distinguish and reward students of exceptional maturity, ability and potential for success in the future study and practice of law, and based on their academic achievement. Additionally, applicants must show significant community and extracurricular experiences, superior academic achievement and / or noteworthy performance on the LSAT. This scholarship is renewable on a yearly basis based on merit, need, continued academic scholarship in law (most commonly evidenced by inclusion in the Dean’s List), and excellence in service to community and to AUCL. Applications for this scholarship can be obtained from the Office of the Dean of Students and must be submitted on or before the posted deadline.

Aristotle University College of Law Scholarship for Law Enforcement Professionals - This scholarship is awarded in the amount of $4,000 annually to two worthy candidates who are actively employed as law enforcement officers, fire fighters, or are employees of the Department of Corrections or Youth Authority. This scholarship is intended to reward exemplary law enforcement professionals for their service to society, and to honor their commitment to serving the needs of our community. Application for this scholarship may be completed by organizations on behalf of the law enforcement personnel they are proposing for the scholarship or by the individuals themselves. Applications for this scholarship can be obtained from the Office of the Dean of Students and must be submitted on or before the posted deadline.

Aristotle University College of Law Scholarship for Nursing Professionals - This scholarship is awarded in the amount of $4,000 annually to a worthy candidate who is employed as a nursing professional. The purpose of this scholarship is to reward the unselfish dedication and commitment of nursing professionals to improving the condition of others. The candidate for this scholarship must exemplify the fostering of traditional service to the public and an energetic, thoughtful approach to their designated nursing profession. They must also submit a completed application through the Office of the Dean of Students with accompanying documentation from their employer and State licensing agency as to their occupation and professional good standing in their State on or before the posted deadline.

Aristotle University College of Law Scholarship for Real Estate Professionals - This scholarship is awarded in the amount of $4,000 annually to a worthy candidate who is a licensed real estate sales agent or broker. The candidate for this scholarship must submit a completed application through the Office of the Dean of Students with accompanying documentation as to their State licensure on or before the posted deadline.

Aristotle University College of Law Scholarship for Health & Health Executive Professionals - This scholarship is awarded in the amount of $4,000 annually to a worthy candidate who is a health care provider or executive health care professional in the field of health care administration or public health management. Applications for this scholarship can be obtained from the Office of the Dean of Students and must be submitted on or before the posted deadline.

Aristotle University College of Law Equal Justice Scholarship
This scholarship was established with a strong commitment to helping minority students from underrepresented race, ethnicity and backgrounds enter the legal profession. It is intended to facilitate individuals who will seek to utilize their legal skills and knowledge to serve as an advocate for the individuals within their community and others like them. This scholarship is awarded in the amount of $4,000 annually to a worthy minority candidate. Applications for this scholarship can be obtained from the Office of the Dean of Students and must be submitted on or before the posted deadline.

Aristotle University College of Law Scholarship for Single Parents - This scholarship is awarded to single parents who seek to improve their lives and the lives of their families through the pursuit of sound legal education and professional career advancement. It is intended to facilitate the struggle that single parents often have in raising their family and providing continued growth and positive improvement in the lives of their children. This scholarship is awarded annually in the amount of $4,000 to worthy single parents. Applications for this scholarship can be obtained from the Office of the Dean of Students and must be submitted on or before the posted deadline.
