Faculty Governance
The Aristotle University College of Law vigorously defends and strives to maintain academic freedom for all its faculty and students and strives to attain and promote academic excellence and scholarly activities. In general, the academic policies, rules and regulations of the Aristotle University College of Law are determined by the Faculty of Law in cooperation with the Dean. The implementation of such policies, rules and regulations is the responsibility of the Dean who is assisted by administrative staff and various Faculty Committees. In addition to the specific policies set forth in this web site which is reflective of our Academic Catalog, the Aristotle University College of Law operates under additional rules and policies with respect to the administration of the institution and regulation of its students. These rules and policies are included within the Aristotle University College of Law Operations and Policy Manual.

Faculty governance is through a Faculty of Law Committee composed of members of the Faculty of the Aristotle University College of Law. The Faculty of Law Committee reports to and advises the Dean as to any academic or programmatic suggestions, desires or issues which need to be addressed and resolved. Additionally, the Dean may designate a Committee of Faculty members for special purposes or issues which the Dean believes needs to be comprehensively addressed or studied.

The Faculty of Law at the Aristotle University College of Law are selected by a Faculty Advisory Consultants Committee. The Faculty Advisory Consultants Committee consists of a group of consultant Professors of Law who are Professors of Law at law schools approved by the American Bar Association (ABA). The Faculty Advisory Consultants Committee also advises the Dean and Board of Trustees of the Aristotle University College of Law as to academic and programmatic issues.

Both the Faculty of Law Committee and the Faculty Advisory Consultants Committee are independent committees and report independently to the Dean.
