LL.M. Thesis and Defense
Candidates for the advanced degree in law, the LL.M., at the Aristotle University College of Law, shall be required to complete and defend, in addition to their required course work, a publishable Thesis. This requirement stands for all LL.M. degree programs offered at the Aristotle University College of Law. The topic for a candidate’s LL.M. Thesis must be submitted to the Aristotle University College of Law, Office of the Dean, no later than thirty (30) days after beginning the second semester of required LL.M. coursework.

The LL.M. Thesis is an extended piece of writing that reflects original thought or research conducted by the candidate. An LL.M. thesis length is expected to be between 20-50 pages (approximately 20,000 words). It is expected that the thesis will be of publishable quality. The prospective LL.M. graduate of the Aristotle University College of Law shall be required to defend his thesis in public at an open scholarly gathering.
