LL.M. Thesis Committee
In addition to the assignment of a Faculty Thesis Advisor for each candidate of the LL.M. at the Aristotle University College of Law, a LL.M. Thesis Committee, shall be organized and assigned to the prospective LL.M. candidate. The LL.M. Thesis Committee shall be determined and assigned within thirty (30) days of the candidate’s submission of his particular LL.M. Thesis topic, or at any time sooner should the LL.M. Candidate so desire. The LL.M. Thesis Committee shall consist of the Faculty Advisor assigned to the candidate, in addition to three (3) other Members who shall be selected by the Dean. The Dean shall accept names as suggestions for additional members from the candidate. A tribunal of four (4) judges (Judges; Attorneys; Professors; Scholars) shall be assembled through the cooperative efforts of the LL.M. Candidate and the Dean.

After the LL.M. Candidate has Defended his Thesis in public, the LL.M. Thesis Committee shall vote on the approval / disapproval of the Thesis. The Committee may vote instantaneously at the conclusion of the Defense or within forty-eight hours (48 hrs) following the conclusion of the Defense. In case of a tie vote, the Dean shall break the tie. In case the candidate does not successfully defend his Thesis, the candidate shall be required to repeat the Thesis legal analysis course, repair or amend his Thesis as may be appropriate and then be permitted to graduate with the LL.M. degree at the next graduation ceremony.
